Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains how RosaPet (rosapet.ai) uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels, and tags), and — most importantly — how you stay in control. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

Categories We Use

Strictly necessary · always active

Needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice (for example, the rosie_consent cookie and your theme setting). These can't be switched off.

Visit counting · first-party

When a page loads, our own server at drrosiedvm.com records the page address, the page that linked you here, and a random visit ID kept in your browser's local storage (da_sid). It holds no name or contact details, is not shared with advertising networks, and is not used for advertising.

Analytics · off until you allow it

Privacy-conscious product analytics (PostHog) so we can understand which pages are useful. The PostHog script loads with the page but stays opted out, recording nothing, until you consent.

Advertising · off until you allow it

Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, to measure and improve our advertising. These are the only cookies involving third-party advertising networks. The tags load with the page in a consent-denied state: Google tags run under Consent Mode v2 with advertising and analytics storage set to "denied", and the Meta Pixel starts with consent revoked. They set no advertising cookies until you consent. While consent is denied, Google may still receive cookieless signals, such as that a page loaded.

How We Obtain and Honor Your Consent

Analytics and advertising cookies are off by default. Their scripts load with the page in a consent-denied state and set no analytics or advertising cookies until you choose in our cookie banner. You can accept all or reject all non-essential cookies; rejecting is as easy as accepting.

You can change or withdraw your choice anytime using the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the site footer, which reopens the cookie manager.

Managing Cookies in Your Browser

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and enable Global Privacy Control in their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working.
